I wonder if our furry friends (both dogs and cats) secretly laugh at our scientific and technological breakthroughs. Sure, no pet could ever possibly understand the minute details of much of what we humans learn, but they seem to instinctively know things we often overlook. Observing the family dog positioning himself under his eating masters, I realized that without comprehending all the details, he knew exactly how to use gravity (and a little human carelessness) to his advantage. To me, pets are one of the ultimate inspirations for comic strip artists.
