I’m pretty sure this is the safe and proper way to safely catch a spider (minus the ten foot long paint pole). I have used this method to rid my bedroom of the occasional unwanted arachnid before settling into bed, and if you think of spiders the way Candace does, putting your hand within inches of them can be a chilling experience. But most spiders are completely harmless to humans, and many are beneficial.

I just run and scream at my dad... I think I have arachnophobia

Tiny spiders never bother me, but once they reach a certain size, I find them to be rather terrifying.

So you have caught the spider in a glass that covered with a piece of cardboard and have carried it outside. Now, how do you get the spider out of the glass and your glass back? XD

(The don't scare me and I really like the long legged cellar spiders. They are chill and careful, don't attack you and if you blow at them, they go away. There are others, though...)
