I don’t know about you, but I’ve managed to completely miss stop signs on rare occasions. The reason behind my reckless driving is letting myself focus too hard on something down the road beyond the stop sign. Once, while approaching a red light in front of a railroad crossing, I somehow got the idea in my head that I needed to stop when I reached the crossing (on the other side of the light). It wasn’t until I started slowing down at the railroad tracks that I realized what I did! So far, no accidents (PHEW!).
Or a better solution... there should be less stop signs :D
That's worth considering! :-) 4-way stop signs are particularly bothersome for me.
